Milestones Program

A Neurodiversity-Affirming Approach to Supporting Students and Youth With Autism

Structured, Supportive Environments

We create structured spaces with consistent routines to promote comfort and confidence. Visual supports like schedules, timers, and picture instructions are used in both group and one-on-one settings to enhance understanding and independence.

Inclusive Communication Tools

We support various communication methods, including AAC tools like sign language, picture boards, and spelling systems. These tools help each youth express themselves in ways that work best for them, both in program settings and during community outings.

Personalized Behavioral Support

Each participant receives a customized plan focused on life skills, social development, and emotional growth. Strategies include modeling, step-by-step guidance, and positive reinforcement, all grounded in respect and connection.

Whole-Child Development

Our approach blends relationship-based and play-based learning with movement, sensory integration, and mindfulness. This helps youth build coping skills, manage emotions, and thrive in both daily life and community settings.

The Milestones Program is designed to empower autistic youth by supporting their growth in a way that respects their individuality and fosters meaningful, lasting development both in the classroom and in the community.
